Authorize.net<\/a> is a little different from some of the other providers we\u2019ve talked about, as it does not<\/strong> offer all-in-one services<\/em>. Instead, you have two options:<\/p>\n

  1. Payment gateway services only.<\/li>\n
  2. Combination of payment gateway and merchant account.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Do note that the merchant account can be one of Authorize.net<\/a> \u2019s resellers. However, in these cases the terms and the fees may be quite different from the fees listed on Authorize.net\u2019s website. So be sure to confirm fees and terms before you proceed.<\/p>\n

    FEES<\/h5>\n

    Authorize.net offers two options as listed above, and these two options include different fee structures as follows:<\/strong><\/p>\n

    Option 1:<\/strong> Payment Gateway + Merchant Account<\/em><\/p>\n

    Setup Fee: $49<\/p>\n

    Monthly Gateway Fee: $25<\/p>\n

    Debit and Credit Rate: 2.9% plus 30 cents per transaction<\/p>\n

    Option 2:<\/strong> Payment Gateway Services Only<\/em><\/p>\n

    NOTE: With this option, you\u2019ll need to secure a merchant account somewhere else. You\u2019ll be paying for your merchant account fees, as well as paying fees to Authorize.net. So if you choose this option, be sure to find out how much you\u2019ll be paying in fees to your merchant account provider.<\/em><\/p>\n

    Verbal authorization (payment over the phone):<\/strong> $1.20<\/p>\n

    NOTE: If you sell outside the United States, add a 1.5% assessment per transaction.\u00a0<\/em>Funds are held for 48 hours, and then released to the merchant in batches.<\/em><\/p>\n

    SUPPORTED COUNTRIES<\/h5>\n

    In order to sell using Authorize.net, your business must be domiciled in the United States, United Kingdom, Australia, Canada or Europe. However, you can accept international transaction from customers who are located worldwide.<\/p>\n

    MAJOR CREDIT CARDS SUPPORTED<\/h5>\n

    Authorize.net<\/a> supports all major credit cards including Visa\u2122, MasterCard\u2122, Discover\u2122, American Express\u2122, Diner\u2019s Club International\u2122, and JDB\u2122.<\/p>\n
