And you\u2019re missing the one thing that\u2019s going to tie the whole strategy together and finally deliver great results.<\/p><p><strong>What are those key pieces of information?<\/strong> That\u2019s what you\u2019re about to discover. However, you shouldn\u2019t even be thinking about your lead magnets or lead pages until you thoroughly study your audience.<\/p><p><strong>There are two reasons for this:<\/strong><\/p><ul class=\"\"><li>You need to know what your audience wants so that you can deliver a lead magnet that\u2019s absolutely irresistible to them.<\/li><li>You need to know who your audience is so that you can craft lead pages and other content that resonates with them.<\/li><\/ul><p>Most list builders <strong>don\u2019t take the time to do a deep dive<\/strong> to really understand their audience, and that\u2019s why they end up with a small list, an unresponsive list, and\/or a high churn rate.<\/p><p>So, here\u2019s <strong>what you need to do.<\/strong> First, you need to find out what your audience is BUYING. If they\u2019re buying a particular infoproduct, tool, app or service, then you can bet they\u2019ll line up around the block to get something similar for free.<\/p><p>Secondly, <strong>you need to figure out who your audience is. <\/strong>Check out their demographics, figure out what makes them tick, determine their biggest niche challenges, discover their hopes, fears and desires. The more you know about your audience, the easier it will be for you to create content that makes them swoon. If you don\u2019t find a way to set yourself apart from everyone else in your niche, then you\u2019re just going to get drowned out by the noise. You\u2019ll need to work exponentially harder just to barely survive off the crumbs dropped by your competitors.<\/p><p>That\u2019s not fun. And it\u2019s definitely not profitable.<\/p><p>So, <strong>here\u2019s what to do instead: <\/strong><em>work smarter <\/em>instead of working harder. Set yourself apart by giving your audience a really good reason why they should do business with you. Brainstorm what\u2019s unique about your business, and match that up with a benefit that your audience really values.<\/p><p>For example, do you have a boatload of experience in the niche (<em>with proof<\/em>), and that\u2019s something your audience values? That\u2019s a great way to <strong>set yourself apart.<\/strong><\/p><p>Have you pioneered a strategy in the niche? But the big key is that you need to make it unique. Y<strong>ou need to provide fresh tips and ideas<\/strong> your audience has never seen before, and\/or you need to present the information in a fresh way.<\/p><p>For example, don\u2019t just teach people a \u201chow to\u201d strategy. Instead, give the strategy a unique name. You might even <strong>create a unique \u201cformula\u201d or \u201csystem\u201d<\/strong> around the process. If you don\u2019t tell your prospects <strong>why you and your lead magnet are different <\/strong>from your competitors, you\u2019re going to really struggle to build a big, responsive list.<\/p><p>The point is, you need to <strong>create a mini sales page that positions your product as different and better <\/strong>than everything else that\u2019s out there. <\/p><p>Even if your prospect has downloaded a million other similar products, you need to stir up desire to download yours too because it\u2019s different and better in a meaningful way.<\/p><p>Do you have the copywriting chops to do this yourself? There are other people in your niche who already have what you want <strong>-- access to your audience -- <\/strong>and they\u2019re willing to direct the audience over to your lead page. All you have to do is give them something that they want, too.<\/p><p><strong>For example:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li>Trade free content for massive exposure in the form of guest blogging.<\/li><li>Give your existing prospects and customers discounts and other incentives to refer their friends to your business.<\/li><li>Pay for exposure by placing ads on niche sites and social platforms where your audience hangs out.<\/li><li>Trade ads and endorsements with other marketers who save the same niche as you do.<\/li><li>Be a guest expert on a popular podcast in your niche.<\/li><\/ul><p>Those are just a few ideas to get you going. F<strong>or best results, focus on just one advertising idea at a time. <\/strong>Once you get one method up and running, then go ahead and add another to your overall strategy.
